Short Bio

I was born in Rimini in 1980. Since June 2010 I am a Marie Curie post-doc fellow in Media Lab's Human Dynamics group, led by Prof. Alex "Sandy" Pentland, and in FBK's i3 group, led by Dr. Massimo Zancanaro.
In 2009 I obtained my PhD degree in Computer Science at the University of Trento under the supervision of Dr. Fabio Pianesi.
My main research topics are the automatic modeling of social influence, the automatic recognition of individual characteristics (e.g., personality traits), and the automatic recognition of human behaviors (e.g., activities of daily living, functional roles of meeting participants, and physical activities) using different sources of data (visual and acoustic data and data obtained by mobile phones, infrared, RFIDs and on-body accelerometers).
From May 2008 to December 2008 I was visitng student at Massachussets Institute of Technology, doing research in the House_n group under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Intille.
